You've Got to Move it to Lose it!

Ok...so here I am, half way through the winter months. The weight I had worked so hard to lose in the summer is slowly creeping back up on me. I'm not using this as an excuse, but IT'S SO COLD OUT, AND I DON'T DO WELL IN THE COLD! Now, that being said, I have to remember the videos that are products of Team Beachbody (such as Hip Hop Abs, Power 90, p90X, etc,) that can be used regardless of the weather. So, no...weather is no excuse. Let's call a spade a spade...the burgers and fries are definitely the culprit!

I have had great success in my weightloss this past summer. I had lost 45 lbs. in just 5 months. I was working it! I had so much energy, felt so full of life, and I couldn't stop talking about the progress I'd been making. So, all of that being said, here I am... half way through the winter, and feeling miserable, sluggish, and FAT! I've gained back nine of the 45 lbs that I've lost and I am not liking it one bit! But I've committed myself to work on the success of my weightloss goal. I started out wanting to lose 100 lbs, and I just have 64 lbs to go. I'm closer to my goal than I was a year ago, and I can't stop now! I have got to keep it movin'!

I am saying all of that to say this: just because I've "slowed down" doesn't mean I've stopped. It doesn't mean I am a failure in my weightloss journey, it just means that I've hit a few bumps in the road along the way; or maybe more like hurdles on the track. But I watch track and field. I know with the right amount of training and workouts hurdles can be leaped over, and not be causes for stumbling blocks. I have a whole community of people on the WOWY boards of Million Dollar Body who is pulling for me and will support me in my journey. Yes, I've had the "nay-sayers" who would not exactly cheer for me in my transformation, but I have my inner self that will push my outer self to my goal, no matter how far I've got to go.

So to any and everyone who has ever started a weightloss program and had become sidetracked for one reason or another, it's ok. The old adage is "all sickness is not death." Just because you haven't succeeded the first time doesn't mean you won't. Most people who begin a diet or healthier lifestyle do so because they know the benefits that can be obtained from it. Don't give up on yourselves. Look at the bright side of things...there are a whole lot of people who will never even attempt to get fit. At least you are putting forth the effort to begin a program, and that alone takes strength beyond measure.

One last thing. "If at first you don't succeed, try, TRY again!" So let's get started again, or pick up where we left off. Our goal is within our reach! Get up! Walk a little more. Drink plenty of water, and remember, you've got to move it to lose it!

Will power, walking and weightloss!

will power –n, control of one's impulses and actions; self-control.

Just wanted to encourage you to get up, get out and walk today in an effort to move more! Use your willpower. If you are new to the world of walking workouts, make a commitment to walk at least 15 minutes today and do it. Take advantage of the beautiful weather and use your ability to do so. Did you know that medical research shows that walking 30 minutes a day has many health benefits? In addition, it's very convenient! There are no gym fees, no equipment to handle, and is absolutely free! (Remember, it's important to rehydrate. The daily recommended drinking amount is eight 8 oz. glasses per day. When working out, you should increase that amount.)

If a daily fitness walk could be put in a pill, it would be one of the most popular prescriptions in the world. It has so many health benefits. Walking can reduce the risk of many diseases — from heart attack and stroke to hip fracture and glaucoma. These may sound like claims on a bottle of snake oil, but they're backed by major research. Walking requires no prescription, the risk of side effects is very low, and the benefits are numerous:

Managing your weight.
Controlling your blood pressure.
Decreasing your risk of heart attack.
Boosting "good" cholesterol, and helps reduce the "bad" cholesterol.
Lowering your risk of stroke.
Reducing your risk of breast cancer and type 2 diabetes.
Avoiding your need for gallstone surgery.
Protects against hip fracture.
Other studies indicate a daily brisk walk also can help:

* Prevent depression, colon cancer, constipation, osteoporosis, and impotence
* Lengthen lifespan
* Lower stress levels
* Relieve arthritis and back pain
* Strengthen muscles, bones, and joints
* Improve sleep
* Elevate overall mood and sense of well-being.

A steady routine is the most important factor in getting the most out of your exercise program. Walking for at least 30 minutes a day, 5 or more days a week is recommended.

Use these tips to keep you on track:

* During your walks, you should be able to maintain a conversation. If you're breathing too lightly, increase your pace. If you can't catch your breath, slow it down.
* Walk around the local area after lunch or dedicate 15 minutes to walking up and down stairs. Climbing is an excellent way to strengthen your heart.
* At night, trade a half hour of TV for a brisk stroll around the block. Take a friend with you for company or get the whole family involved.

The Best Medicine

Any amount of walking is good, but for the best health results, set a brisk pace and walk for 30 minutes at least 5 times a week. Be sure to check with your doctor on the level of exercise that's best for you.

New and Exciting Changes in 2009

My husband and I are really excited about the changes we are making to benefit ourselves financially. We are so ready to make money, and help others to make a difference in their lives that it is time to shine in '09! Yep, a new and exciting residual cash generating program designed to do just that...generate cash flow. But I had to ask myself, "what about Team Beachbody?" I mean for the past 7 months or so, I had been very much into fitness, health and wealth, but with the economic problems and financial mishaps we suffered, I slowly got back into the same old routine. I put what was important to me on the back burner as I had so many times as a stay at home mother. Although I have a very motivating Beachbody coach, and one that I wouldn't trade for the world, I still began to slack off...of everything! My workouts slowed down to almost zilch, my enthusiasm for the business came to a screeching halt and I stopped eating healthy meals. Not that I wanted to stop,but as always, my wants and goals didn't seem as important as everyone else's. So...here I am. But, I am no longer at a standstill! I mean really! I am ready to pursue the things that will surely lead to financial freedom, and I promised myself (when I became an Independent Beachbody Coach in Aug. 08...thanks to that magnificent coach of mine) that I would do what I could to not only get fit and healthy myself, but to help others gain fitness, health and wealth!

Starting right here, right now...I am more devoted to me...I will encourage my husband (who is a wonderful partner in every sense of the word) to workout with me using POWER 90 and Hip Hop Abs, to learn the Beachbody business with me, and to work our way to success! To completely makeover the minds and bodies of people I know and those I don't, I have to begin with me...so, here it goes...I'm back on the scale with both feet! (and yes, I'm up 6 lbs since my slacking off...)

Thank you to everyone who supports me (ms. C.M...you know who you are!), and for never giving up on me! It is so very much appreciated!

Now, I have some things to share with all of you...
